Rose student Rivers Thomas at England is writing
down the story which gardener Breon in France told
about the origin in Bourbon Rose in book "
Rose-Amateur's Guide ( published in 1843 ) ".
The opinion which was particularly told in the that
book, too, is being described but it supposes that
it places trust most as the origin in Bourbon Rose
at present about the description which was
translated below.
On Bourbon island, the resident enclosed his
dwelling generally with the hedge of two kinds of
rose but it was common China Rose ( the old brush )
one by one and another was red Four Seasons ( the
autumn damask of the red flower ).
Perision who is the owner of "St. Benoist" found
that the small young seedling that the tree topology
and the shot are different from the others
remarkably in such a hedge had grown and decided to
attempt to plant it in his garden.
As for the young seedling, in the next year, the
flower bloomed but it seemed the new kind which is
different in the clarifying with above-mentioned 2
kinds *of* it.
However, the thing was to be known only in Bourbon
island.
1817, Breon visited an island as the botanical
garden administrator of the French government
sending.
Then, it brought up these a lot of kinds and it sent
a stock and a species to Jacques who was a garden
teacher in the own country ( French ), the Paris
suburbs.
Jacques forwarded the rose godfather of France this.
On Bret named this kind rose "Rose de L'Ile de
Bourbon" on Bourbon island.
It is possible to say that above mentioned Bourbon
Rose was the kind which occurred with the nature
crossing by the old brush in Chinese Rose and the
autumn damask of the red flower.
However, the autumn damask of " the red flower " has
been already lost and at present, it can not see.
The characteristic:
It makes the large wheel flower of the aromatic
circle valve to seem to have inherited from the
pink, the white flower color, the damask in
regaining old garden Rose *of* bloom.
It stretches a branch roughly, there is nature which
becomes like the arch and it is the characteristics
such as that it is possible to use as the biggish
shrub or the comparatively small climbing rose, too,
that the point is general.
